BBQ Beef Ribs in a Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs / 1.5 kg beef ribs, trimmed of fat

  • salt / pepper to taste

  • 2 medium onions diced

  • 1 tbsp / 15 ml soy sauce

  • 1 cup / 250 ml BBQ sauce

  • 2 tbsp / 30 ml white vinegar

  • 2 tbsp / 30 ml molasses or sugar

Cooking steps

  • Heat cooking oil in a frying pan.
  • Add the ribs and brown on all sides.
  • Drain the ribs and place them in a 5 L/5 quart slow cooker.
  • Mix all other ingredients except the onion in a bowl.
  • Stir in the onion and pour the mixture over the ribs.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or on High for 4-5 hours.
