Beef Curry in a Slow Cooker

A simple curry beef steak recipe that is rich in flavour. The meat is cooked slowly over time with a mixture of aromatic spices and curry.

This recipe uses Ketchup Manis, which to Aussies is better known as sweet soy sauce. The sauce is a combination of the rich umami flavour of soy sauce and the sweetness of palm sugar. Originating in Indonesia, the sauce is used in many Southeast Asian dishes – you will find it in most Asian grocery stores.
