1 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2/3 cup red or white wine
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup milk
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 pound/ 450 g lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon seasoned pepper
3 tablespoons minced parsley
2 tablespoons grated onion
½ teaspoon extra Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Cooking steps
- Put ketchup, mustard, ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and wine into an electric cooker and mix.
- Cover and cook on Low while preparing the meatballs.
- Mix eggs, milk, and bread crumbs in a bowl.
- Add meat, salt, seasoned pepper, parsley, onion, and remaining Worcestershire sauce; mix lightly.
- Shape into small balls.
- Heat butter in a pan or skillet, add meatballs, and brown on all sides.
- Add browned meatballs to the sauce in the cooker and mix.
- Cover and cook on Low for 4-6 hours.
