Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard

  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

  • 2/3 cup red or white wine

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs

  • 1 pound/ 450 g lean ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon seasoned pepper

  • 3 tablespoons minced parsley

  • 2 tablespoons grated onion

  • ½ teaspoon extra Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Cooking steps

  • Put ketchup, mustard, ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and wine into an electric cooker and mix.
  • Cover and cook on Low while preparing the meatballs.
  • Mix eggs, milk, and bread crumbs in a bowl.
  • Add meat, salt, seasoned pepper, parsley, onion, and remaining Worcestershire sauce; mix lightly.
  • Shape into small balls.
  • Heat butter in a pan or skillet, add meatballs, and brown on all sides.
  • Add browned meatballs to the sauce in the cooker and mix.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 4-6 hours.
